The Beautiful Bow Shirt

Wearing a shirt to the office can really detract from personal style, but not with the gorgeous design ethics of the beautiful Bow shirt. This pattern has been created to blow the socks off of the competition, with a sleek and sexy fitted body and a softly structured bow to create a luxurious, fresh take on the classic shirt. The ideal statement piece for the office or a fantastically comfortable item for evening wear, why not consider constructing the Bow shirt using organza or chiffon to  really add layers of depth to the unique detailing. Our sample has been constructed using a transparent silk organza to really emphasize the effect of using transparent materials.

CREATIVE TIPS

Equally a simple piece for beginners and a more challenging piece for intermediate sewers, The Bow shirt pattern has been designed to really push the boundaries of fitted shirt construction - depending on the materials used to construct it! This means that beginners can create the Bow shirt using a stiff cotton poplin, or similar shirting material, for a much easier project; and overlocking all of the seams (instead of French seaming) will make the construction simpler still. For intermediate sewers, finer materials like organza will be harder to work with yet much more rewarding, but for best results use a transparent chiffon to really make full use of the engineered bow.
