The Risqué Carmen Corset

A blend of both historic and modern styles come together to create a truly bold and risqué  feel for the Carmen corset. With a slightly lower bust line than many of the corsets in our entire range, the Carmen takes a plunging front hem line and high sides to the limit to complete the overall look. Another simple yet great template for customisation, this corset would be perfect tailored to the burlesque style, for the ultimate sex-appeal. Our sample is constructed using lightweight peach cotton with appliquéd lace panelling; lace trim and beaded fringe detail, but please be aware that there are no instructions on lace appliqué or placement within this pattern.

CREATIVE TIPS

One of the most outstanding features of this pattern is its simplicity. It features very few design features and therefore concentrates solely on our standard two layer construction technique - to help beginner sewers to really get to grips with corsetry. This construction technique forms the basis for many of the modern corsets in our range, and the basic know-how can be built upon and applied to the necessary skills needed to tackle some of the far more complex pieces in our range - particularly historic corsets.
