The Classically Contemporary Juliet Corset
Taking contemporary corsetry ideals and merging them with the unique Stay's styling techniques of the 18th Century, the Juliet corset pattern is a stand-out piece for dressmakers everywhere. Shoulder straps and a straight neckline lend a more vintage feel to the finished garment, while a multitude of vertical bones brings a more modern, comfortable edge to the overall piece. With sky-high lift and a closed front for added detailing, you really can create the Juliet to suit your personal tastes. Our sample is constructed in lightweight peach cotton with appliquéd lace, devorée polka-dot net. We do not provide instructions on lace appliqué or placement within this pattern.

CREATIVE TIPS
As a rule, the corsets in our historical range are aimed at those with a good amount of prior experience in corsetry. While more modern patterns feature very few design elements, the Juliet will require a little more technique to construct due to the range of vertical bones included in the piece. Our standard two layer construction techniques do still apply to the Juliet, and as this forms the basis for many of our corset patterns, beginners with some experience constructing our modern corsets in particular may be able to use this pattern to further build upon their skills.
