The Bonnie Bonara Corset
One of our favourite corset patterns to date, the Bonara is as simple to create as it is cheap to fashion. It features a waist-cinching, bust lifting design that can be tailored to suit the wearer, and to make construction even easier. Adding a matching bra or a Chantilly lace trim can further conceal the bust to suit your tastes, and the four-loop Busk and extra panelling allow for you to change it up every time you create a new garment. Alternatively sewers can even join the centre front panels and remove the Busk, to create a gorgeous one-piece corset. Our sample was constructed using satin, with an additional layer of Devoré felt polka-dot-net on the front panels.

- Centre front 4 loop steel busk

CREATIVE TIPS
The Bonara corset pattern is suitable for beginner to intermediate sewers who are looking for a different take on standard corsetry methods. A great transition piece between modern and historical corset making techniques, our standard two-layer construction is paired with unique historical design practices that will keep you on your toes. The construction set has been designed to be comprehensive in its scope, so that sewers with little corset construction experience can build upon their existing skills.
