The Versatile Vintage Divina Drape

When you want to add a touch of vintage glamour to your nightwear, the sumptuous Divina drape is the only sewing pattern you'll need. A subtle blend of kimono and cape style designs, choose colour-matching satin and crepe chiffon for some timeless sex appeal. To really add some effortless chic to your favourite beachwear, you could even construct the Divina in rayon, chiffon or a light cotton, and use the garment as a one-of-a-kind cover-up. For this sample we have used a vibrant green satin yoke with a sheer crepe chiffon body and matching tassels. Wear it with pastel coloured accessories to really create a look that will last.

CREATIVE TIPS

The Divina drape pattern is built using just three main panels. To construct the garment, all you'll need to do is connect the back and front panels together with a diagonal top-stitch - from hip to waist - and then finish it off with openings to accommodate for the matching belt. This will create a fitted and flattering shape that will envelop your frame. The Divina drape sewing pattern also comes with an optional faux chest pocket for added design detailing.
