Lavish Larcetti Corset
A modern take on classic design aesthetics, the Larcetti corset pattern blends high fashion contemporary styling with late 19th century design techniques. Making full use of historical piping methods, external bias-cut boning channels and a straight bust line with subtle curves for a more classic silhouette, the bias cut panels fit smoothly over natural curves - sculpting to fit the wearer over time. Using appliqué, colour placement, a selection of materials and contrasting stitching will all serve to change the overall feel of the finished garment, so you can really put your own style on display. Our sample was constructed using satin, with an additional layer of Devoré felt polka-dot-net on the front panels.

CREATIVE TIPS
The Larcetti corset pattern is the perfect project for beginner sewers who wish to take their experience in basic corset construction to the next level. A great transition piece from simpler modern-corsetry designs, it is constructed using our standard two-layer construction technique, but the unique sections that use historical design features really make the Larcetti a great introductory piece when it comes to historic corsetry construction.
The instruction set is comprehensive and will create a fun challenge for those without prior corset construction experience, but if you are looking for something easier, we suggest choosing a more modern corset pattern from our selection, as these focus more on perfecting the standard two layer-construction technique than on additional design features.
