One of our more popular patterns, the Skater dress pattern, is designed to create the perfect balance between the two styles - with an emphasis on the top half of the body that oozes vogue and a circle skirt that showcases long leg-length with sassy spin-ability.
FEATURES
- A full circle skirt that is gathered into the waist section with raw jersey hem
- A double layer bodice, with thick shoulder straps
- A single centre back seam on both pieces (skirt and bodice)

CREATIVE TIPS
Our popular Skater dress is an easy pattern that will be a great starting piece for beginner sewists. Constructing this garment with a fine jersey material (one-way stretch will be ideal) using just two pattern pieces, a single un-hemmed layer for the skirt and only 2-3 major seams, it really can be put together in a snap! This is the simplest jersey pattern in our entire collection, but bear in mind that this garment must be constructed using an overlocker machine. This is in order to maintain the unique stretch quality of the skirt, and each pattern piece comes complete with 0.5cm or 1/4” seam allowance to account for this element.
