The Dramatic Tolledo Corset

When you are looking for extreme drama, no other corset pattern comes to mind than that of the Toledo. Dramatically shaped to create a silhouette straight out of the late 19th Century, it beautifully utilizes an array of different corset construction techniques, to create one of the most unique and detailed pieces in our entire historical range. With a plunging heart-shaped bust line, curved piping channels that smooth down the body and bust, and a dramatically shaped top and bottom edge to rival even the most stunning corset, the Tolledo also features external bones, intersecting seams, top-stitching details and a six loop Busk for a more comfortable wear. Our sample is constructed using black satin, with the front and back panels covered in a fine net of polka-dot devoré felt.

CREATIVE TIPS:

As the Tolledo utilises a multitude of clever corset making techniques in its construction, it is a sewing project that is perfect for intermediate to advanced sewers - especially those who have some experience in corsetry to begin with. It comes with a wealth of stunning design features that will really test your metal when it comes to construction, so you'll need to be up for the challenge.

Absolute novice sewers who would like an introduction into making corsets are advised to try the Liara corset from our more modern range, as this pattern will teach tips and techniques that will prove invaluable to corset construction (and even for particular lingerie pieces) for the future.
