Eva corset sewing pattern

Eva is made for beginner corset makers who want to learn proper modern construction on a more styled silhouette. The pattern uses the standard two-layer method found across the modern range: a firm structural coutil layer, a decorative outer layer, boning sandwiched between the layers, internal boning channels and clean bias-bound edges.

You will build confidence with structure, shaping, boning placement, strap handling and edge finishing — the same core skills that make the rest of the modern range easier to approach later. Eva is a first corset with a stronger point of view: less sweet, more sculpted, and ready to be styled.

Fabric usage:

• Decorative fabric: 140 cm wide × 75 cm
• Structural coutil: 140 cm wide × 124 cm

Fabric suggestions:
Use structural coutil for the strength layer. That is what gives Eva the support and stability it needs for a longline underbust shape.

For the outer layer, choose a lightweight fabric that suits the mood you want: cotton, satin, chiffon or lace all work well when paired with a stable corset base. Eva is especially strong when styled with lingerie, glittering pasties or high-impact fabric choices, so this is the place to lean into texture, shine and contrast.

Lace placement, beading motifs and appliqué instructions are not included in the pattern.

Eva is available in UK 4–20 / EUR 32–48 / US 0–16. Use your bust, waist and hip measurements to choose the closest base size. If you fall between sizes, make a toile first and adjust for your shape before sewing your final corset.
