Sizes: UK 4 – 20 (EUR 32 – 48, US 0 – 16)
The Juliet Corset sewing pattern merges contemporary corsetry ideals with the unique Stay’s styling techniques of the 18th Century, resulting in a stand-out piece for dressmakers. With shoulder straps and a straight neckline, the Juliet corset evokes a vintage feel, while its multitude of vertical bones brings a modern and comfortable edge to the overall design. The corset offers sky-high lift and a closed front, providing ample space for added detailing and customization according to personal taste. As with all our modern corset sewing patterns, the Juliet serves as a blank canvas for your lace or beading motifs. Please note that lace appliqué or placement instructions are not included in this pattern. Our sample showcases the possibilities, featuring a single underlayer of structural coutil and a lightweight peach cotton decorative fabric appliquéd with placement lace. The Juliet Corset sewing pattern features internal boning channels and a top and bottom edge sealed with bias binding.

Fabric
Fabric Suggestions:
For the base layer of the corset, we highly recommend using structural coutil, a specialized fabric designed specifically for corsetry. Known for its exceptional support, stability, and ability to shape the body, coutil provides the necessary foundation for a comfortable and secure fit.
When it comes to the decorative layer of the corset, the options are endless. You have the freedom to choose any lightweight fabric that resonates with your style and vision. Cotton, satin, chiffon, or lace are popular choices for adding elegance and personality to the corset. Feel free to experiment with different textures, colours, and patterns to create a truly unique and captivating design.
