Skill Level & Tips
The Amayo Drape sewing pattern is made from three pattern pieces, is simple and easy to make and is ideal for beginners!
If you are new to sewing, then we recommend relying on a more stable material (consider cotton poplin) for the body and sleeves as it is easier to work with. For more advanced sewers who wish to experiment with lighter fabrics, you may want to use chiffon for the body and satin for the cuffs and collar, to create a sultrier, more flowing silhouette. For added flair, you can even try some light to moderate bead placement in a colour that matches your garment!
The below meterage’s are only guideline when buying fabric. You might want to print the sewing pattern size of your choice and measure the pattern to get a more accurate measurement. This will save money if you are using expensive fabrics.
