Florence Playsuit Sewing Pattern
£10.00
UK Sizes: 4 – 16 (EUR 32 – 44 / US 0 – 12)
Introducing the Florence Playsuit sewing pattern, an elegantly stunning piece inspired by the chic glam of the 1920s. With its dropped waist, boyish proportions, and asymmetrical bib-style top, it captures the essence of the era. To enhance the art-deco feel, consider adding a set of beading. For a versatile look, opt for sand-washed crepe or satin like our sample.
The playsuit features an invisible zip on the side seam, circular pockets with pin-tuck detailing on the shorts, a ruched waistband, tabard-style upper construction, and a double-layered yoke with a slash neck and chevron. Complete the look with 1cm wide asymmetric straps and a button on the yoke. Embrace the timeless allure of the Florence Playsuit!
Skill Level & Tips
Level: Intermediate
The Florence Playsuit sewing pattern is suitable for both intermediate and advanced sewers. Advanced sewers will find this pattern easy to tackle, while intermediate sewers have the opportunity to enhance their current skillset. For beginners and intermediate sewers, we recommend minimising the technical processes involved by using a soft cotton or non-shifting material, which will make construction easier.
Fabric
Fabric Suggestions:
If you’re a beginner or intermediate sewer, we recommend using a soft cotton or non-shifting material for ease of construction, similar to the fabric used in our sample images. Sand-washed silk is a beautiful lightweight fabric with a textured finish that is easy to cut and sew. If you can find it, we highly recommend using it for a luxurious result.
Fabric Requirements:
– Fabric: 140cm (55 inches) > 150cm (59 inches)
